Board Trains More Staff as Quality Assurance Assessors
In a bid to ensure that staff of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), acquire the requisite knowledge that would enable them perform as professional assessors in the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), the Board has organized a training workshop for staff of the Planning and Programmes departments of the Board.
The Unit one training workshop which was held at the NBTE Centre of Excellence (CoE) from 1st -5th April, 2019 was meant to train staff of the Board to be Quality Assurance Assessor (QAA) which will enable them carry out the assessment of components of the framework.
The Executive Secretary of NBTE, Dr. Masa'udu Adamu Kazaure said that the workshop will further expose staff to the regulatory functions of the framework and ensure they have the required qualification that will enable them act as professionals in the framework.
Also, the former Director Finance and Supplies of the Board, Alh. Isa Suleimanu who is also a Talent and Skills Manager noted that the workshop will assist staff on how to understand and ensure the quality of what they want to assess.
According to him, the Quality Assurance Assessor training is expected to run in 3 units to achieve full qualification of assessing the NSQF framework.
